Ironworkers in British Columbia are proud to work on building some of the province’s most iconic transportation and infrastructure projects and today we’re happy to see the B.C. government’s ambitious commitment to continued investment for capital projects and infrastructure in the province.

The government’s commitments to investing in priority infrastructure projects to make communities more resilient in the face of the climate crisis, in maintaining and improving access to communities, in building community infrastructure and critical transportation networks, and in maintaining, upgrading and expanding infrastructure, will not only provide the much-needed projects British Columbians need, but will also provide good paying jobs in our communities.

Building the province and the infrastructure our province needs means growing our skilled workforce and the Ironworkers are committed to equitable growth in the trades. These commitments are an opportunity to create more jobs for ironworkers in the province – sustainable jobs that families rely on that help power our economy.

Ironworkers are key to building projects in British Columbia and need to be part of the conversation on the future of work. We look forward to learning more about these commitments to build B.C. and look forward to being part of the conversation about the future of infrastructure and of work in this province.
